Perhaps give you some adventurous stories to read about to distract you? What I would like to say though, as I feel your tightness about the social aspect, is that God doesn't expect you to be someone other than yourself. There is no mould a pastor's wife should fit in to. You'll probably need to repeat that one to yourself over and over no doubt. You will be your own unique kind of pastor's wife--one that blends well with your soon-to-be pastor husband. Be who you are and you will make a great team. I can say this with confidence because you already are a wonderful person and a blessing to all who know you. Pastor's wife is just a title, not a job description. Did you ever worry about being a carpenter's wife? (I know the stigma is not the same but it's an interesting point of view.) Try to recognise and thwart unrealistic expectations. *sigh* It's a tough one. Hopefully that helps bring some peace all the same.
